Dextera only asks for access that matches features you turn on. You can skip most things at setup and enable them later.

App lock (no Accessibility)

Dextera does not use an Accessibility service.

App lock (Pro) requires biometrics when you open a locked app from Dextera (home, search, etc.). It does not intercept apps opened from the system Recents screen or other launchers.

Photos and files

You want to… What you do in Dextera
Use your own wallpaper photo Pick a picture when setting wallpaper. Dextera saves up to 7 photos inside the app.
Search files from home Use Add folder and choose folders (Downloads, camera roll, etc.). Only those folders are included.

Dextera does not need all-photos / all-videos access for these features.
